• Membership.

  
  Membership of HBC costs US$3.00 as a 1 time fee. This one time fee covers our management and Hosting expenses.
  
  Each member may add as many books to our listings as they wish, these books can be hard-copy books such as Hardback or soft (paper) back. They should be in good to excellent condition and may be of any subject matter other than those listed in our banned list.
  
  Each member is Honour bound to keep the books offered until a sale is made or inform HBC that the book is no longer available, as to the purchase of books each member is honour bound to pay the agreed price immediately.
  
  All sales/purchases will be conducted through the medium of HBC, with payment being made into our account as soon as a sale is agreed, we will make payment to the seller by whatever means they wish. This is to ensure members anonymity for they security. When a purchase request is made HBC will contact the seller with the buyers location and the seller will then assertain the postage cost to ship the item, this will ensure a fair price is paid each time and the seller is never out of pocket. Once we have this information we will pass it on to the prospective buyer and a sale will or will not be agreed.

• Book Sales & Auctions.

  
  Book sales at HBC will fall into 1 of 2 categories.
  
  

  Direct Sales.

  Hardcopy Books
  Books will be offered for direct sale at a constant price of $1.50 regardless of type or size, this will ensure that the seller never receives less that $1.00 for the sale of a book, and ensures that the buyer never pays more than $1.50 plus postage. The buyer must decide whether the purchase is worth the payment of $1.50 plus postage costs, this may not always be economical depending on the location of a buyer versus that of a seller.
  
  HBC will endeavour to find the most cost effective way of shipments from and to each country.
  
  E-Books
  Naturally these fall into a somewhat different category as there is no postage delivery involved. If the book offered is an e-book then it will be available for instant download upon completion of payment through HBC, to ensure transparency an automated email will inform the seller that a sale has been made and that payment may be requested. It is suggested that the seller allows sale funds tom accumulate to a reasonable amount so that any fees payable on funds transfer do not eat up the profit gained, HBC will actively try to keep any fees to a minimum.
  
  

  Auctions.

  Books offered through HBC auctions will be bid on in the normal way of auctions, the winner of an auction will then pay the winning bid directly to the seller.
  
  The fee for each item entered into our auction is set at $0.50 and will be payable on entry of an item. There are no fees to the buyer, they will pay the winning bid amount plus any shipping costs. .
